Privacy policy

This policy explains what Rodu collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and, if you use Google or Apple sign-in, your name and profile image.
• Content you create in the app: units, shifts, fares counted, expenses, routes, stops and the photos you add to them.
• Location from the crew's phone, only while a shift or a route recording is open, to place the unit on the map and count its trips. Riders use the public map without an account.
• A profile photo, if you upload one.
• Subscription status and purchase history from Stripe. We never see your card details.
• A web push subscription for your browser, if you turn notifications on.
• Product analytics (which screens and features are used), only if you turn it on. In the app it's off until you choose; on the web you choose in the cookie notice.
• Technical data: IP address and device information used for security, rate limiting and error reports.

How we use it

To provide the service, keep your account secure, fix errors, and understand which features are used. We do not sell your data.

Organizations

Content you create in an organization is visible to its members as their role allows. Owners and admins manage who belongs to it.

Processors

We use infrastructure and service providers (hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring and product analytics) that process data on our behalf under contract.

Cookies and tracking

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent. We don't show ads, sell your data or track you across other apps and websites.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or on the web; this permanently deletes your content and sessions. See Delete your account.

When you delete your account, organizations where you were the only member are deleted with it; a team you were part of stays with its other members.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it is in Settings; for anything else, write to us and we'll answer within 30 days.

Children

Rodu isn't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
